Not So Wordless Wednesday: Boston #5

No trip to ANYWHERE is complete without a stop at a book store.  In the case of Boston, we discovered the Commonwealth Books & Old Prints located at 9 Spring Lane at the Downtown Crossing.  As you can see, it is a place you could wander into and get lost for days.  But nay, we didn't not have days or even hours.  But I still scratched the ears of the bookstore cat and breathed in that wonderful old paper smell.

Unfortunately I can't go into used or bookstores with "old" stuff because of my allergies (mold maybe?) But I love them, and can often be seen looking longingly through the windows! LOL

Oh yeah, this is a place I would love to get lost in for more than a few hours! It would probably take repeated daily visits for about a week!

I wonder if we went here on our trip to Boston, some 10 years or more ago. We enjoyed Boston, but I remember how surprised I was by how few bookstores were in Boston. We had better luck over the river in Cambridge and then much better luck we we went on to New Hampshire and Maine.

Now I want to go back to all three again.

Hey, I've been there! Although I must confess I didn't buy a book. (I did at Trident, though!)

I remember that kitty! He was so friendly. I also enjoyed having a seat on a large stack of random books in the middle of an aisle while perusing some title I took off a shelf. And the map collection - heaven for history buffs!
